CT Style Finale

Episode 20 of the Bois & Bar Talk podcast marks the finale of Season 2. It has been a long 7 month journey since the season beginning last January. It seems like just yesterday we were shivering in our newly built set in Kev’s basement in the dead of winter. At last we have arrived at the end and we present to you, our finale featuring The Drink of the Week: CT Style Juicy IPA by Black Hog Brewing Co.

CT Style nails what Connecticut represents, which is a juicy and hazy looking beverage. It is a solid 6.2% ABV and if you enjoy New England style beers we recommend this drink. We had to throw in a celebratory shot of Patron to mark the end of an era.

Of course we came into this episode with a ton of energy and ran it completely improvised. We could never run out of things to say when we reflect on our adventure over the past year. We learn more about ourselves and about the Bois & Bar Talk community everyday. Building Bois & Bar Talk into what it is today has been more than we could ever expect at this point. And for that, we appreciate you for the ongoing support every day that motivates us to keep building, and keep connecting with each supporter.

Getting Better

We are thrilled to announce some new merchandise in the form of fresh hats with our logo printed on them in various colors. If you would like a hat just contact us and we can get one out to you (we don’t have an online store yet). Our goal is always to keep building and keep getting better. We plan to work on a patreon platform to expand Bois & Bar Talk while we take a break from podcasting. In the meantime, stay up to date and feel free to message us on Instagram and Twitter!

We can’t thank you enough for the support, and we will be back better than ever.

Kev’s Weekly Playlist 4th Of July/BBQ Edition

Welcome To My Ear Drums.

I’ve decided to curate a playlist of 10 songs each week. This week I wanted to do a HUGE playlist people can rock to at their Fourth Of July BBQs. Usually I breakdown each song and give a reason for why I put them in the playlist but, theres too many songs.

Each song I put on this playlist is a vibe so just shuffle and let it ride! I will probably be updating it all the way up until the Fourth Of July so make sure to stay updated here!

Make the playlist yourself on Spotify or follow me on Apple Music @KevClarkHD and take a listen that way! Hope You all enjoy!

Supernaut

On episode 19 of the Bois & Bar Talk podcast, the Drink of the Week is Supernaut by New England Brewing Co. out of Woodbridge, Connecticut. According to beeradvocate, this American IPA scored a 96 out of 100. It has a 5.8% ABV has a fruity flavor with hints of pineapple and mixed berries. We could taste the Mosaic hops and bitterness, but it was also a crisp drink to have. Supernaut has a golden color with a large white head and pours nice.

Preparations for episodes during hot days in June usually include running a large fan in our small recording studio cooling down as much as possible. Once the fan is off and we hit record, it feels as if we are on the clock before sweat begins. It feels like an oven slowly preheating until after our 30 minute episode when we are tapped out from pure heat.

Typically, we don’t have a direction with our crammed episodes. We kicked off talking about how people sun bathe as a hobby at the expense of their health and without proper hydration. Somehow this turned into a conversation about eggs and dipping sauces.

Surprisingly, we haven’t talked about our stock trading addictions on the show. We ranted about the thrill of penny stocks and the mental stress that it brings. After that, we mentioned pests like fruit flies and mosquitos up north, compared to lizards in the south. Not to mention, northern people move much faster than anybody in the south.

Lastly, Rob talked about his weekend Florida trip and what it was like to board a plane with COVID-19 rules. The mask rules nowadays are definitely confusing to follow for every different place.

Yeah we know, our episodes are all over the place man.

Anyways, if you like this episode feel free to check out the previous one on Bois & Bar Talk.

Cheers!

Kev’s Weekly Playlist 6/21-6/27

Welcome To My Ear Drums.

I’ve decided to curate a playlist of 10 songs each week. This week I discovered an artist named Beatking and found his new album “Gangsta Stripper Music 4”. This inspired me to make a playlist of some of my favorite strip club bangers!

The playlist features artists like Tyga, Waka Flocka Flame, Juicy J, Asap Rocky and more! No Jay-Z song this week because i feel like Jay never really took the strip club route.

Make the playlist yourself on Spotify or follow me on Apple Music @KevClarkHD and take a listen that way! Hope You all enjoy!

Beatking (Feat. Queendome Come) – Then Leave

I found this song by searching the trending music on the Apple Music. This was my first time listening to Beatking and I was pleasantly surprised. This album is hilarious, but also actually really solid music. Official stripper music, and thats what inspired me to make this playlist!

Listen here.

Juicy J – Bandz A Make Her Dance

Of course, we have to put the godfather of strip clubs on this playlist, Juicy J. “Bandz” is THE strip club ANTHEM and it’s 100% still played frequently to this day. I can’t think of any other song that deserves the #1 spot for strip club music then this.

Listen here.

Travis Porter – Bring It Back

Following “Bandz” has to be “Bring It Back”. The ultimate twerking song. Ive seen this played at every single show/concert I’ve ever been to. If you’re hosting a twerk competition you HAVE TO PLAY THIS SONG!

Listen here.

Rihanna – Pour It up

Then we go to the Queen of strip clubs, Rihanna. “Pour It Up” is the ultimate drinking and throwing money at the club song. Rihanna absolutely kills this song and not to mention….. the video is crazy.

Listen here.

Waka Flocka Flame (Feat. Roscoe Dash & Wale) – No Hands

Classic. Wale’s verse is unforgettable even 10 years later. Forgot all about Roscoe Dash, I wonder how he’s doing these days. Either way “No Hands” is just an all around great song. A great song to just listen to but even better when turning up at the club.

Listen here.

G – Eazy (Feat. Asap Rocky & Cardi B) – No Limit

IT AINT SAFE IT AINT SAFE. Straight like that. Cardi B did this verse not to long after “Bodak Yellow” FLOODED the game. She goes off. The song overall gets everybody moving and singing along. You can just hear the ones being thrown.

Listen here.

Saweetie – My Type

In 2020 you still have to play this. This is the female anthem of summer 2019. You play this and anyone who’s familiar is BUSTIN IT DOWN. Anywhere, anytime, this song calls for twerking. You’re Welcome.

Listen here.

Tyga – Rack City

Ok, now I might be dating myself back, but this shit still slaps. Tyga is like the prince of strip club music. He does it well. I wanna say this came out in about 2011 and it was a banger. Has to be still relevant in the strip clubs.

Listen here.

Travis Porter (Feat. Tyga) – Ayy Ladies

Travis Porter is back again with “Ayy Ladies”. Another twerking MUST PLAY. If you at a party and you on the AUX, play this record and you’re all set.

Listen here.

T-Pain (Feat. Mike Jones) – I’m In Love With A Stripper

Not a crazy strip club song, but theres no way I could end the playlist without this one! CLASSIC!

Listen here.

Let’s Chat.

Comment below and tell me what you guys think or any recommendations I should take a listen too! Feel free to make your own playlists and link them in the comments would love to check them out!

The 8 Booze Trends That Will Define How We Drink in 2020

What will the first year of the new decade have in store for cocktails and spirits?

From effortless on-the-go cocktails to the potential rise of “selfie bars,” here’s our annual gaze into the crystal ball to see how we may be drinking in 2020.

1. We’ll Be Flooded with “Whiskey Innovations”

It seems like every whiskey has a bazillion line extensions coming down the pike: limited editions, experiments with mash bills (wheated whiskeys seem to be coming into favor, for example) and fancy barrel finishes, over-proof variations that burst with flavor yet are almost too hot to drink. No doubt, there are some amazing bottlings to explore. But it seems like there might be a lot of frogs to kiss before whiskey lovers find their Prince Charming in a bottle.

We’ll Enjoy Better Drinks, in Weirder Places

2) No, we’re not talking about pop-up bars in crazy places (although that’s always a possibility). Rather, this refers to canned cocktails, boxed wine and a wide range of other ready-to-drink options that are able to go places traditional drinks can’t go. For example, some train stations now have well-stocked grab-and-go coolers that rival what might be found at a traditional liquor store, ready to enjoy on the rails. Airports and sports arena concessions are also starting to offer a wider array of RTDs, a trend set to expand quickly. Who knows where they will pop up next?
